KatAlyst is an award nominated theatre production company created by Kat Rogers and Andy Mills in 2008 originating from Hertfordshire. KatAlyst aims to bring together the talents and resources of both experienced older, and talented young people who enjoy live performance, often offering mentoring or shadowing opportunities in their rehearsal and productions.

To date, we have inspired and are very proud to have supported young people into the worlds of professional dance, acting, stage management, technical theatre, lighting design, and singer songwriter.

KatAlyst’s  professional arm was developed in 2013, and aims to work with new playwrights’ to develop new scripts into production at a variety of venues, theatres and Festivals.

KatAlyst is run as an unincorporated group and has a management of three. Thus far,  it has been a self-funding organisation, and we welcome any opportunity for funding contributions or sponsorship, please use the contact us page for this purpose. In 2020 we were delighted to received our first ever ACE lottery funded grant towards Beginnings our new writing festival being staged in 2021.
